When you delete a YouTube channel from your Google account, YouTube warns that it's permanent. But if it was a Brand Account, it can often still be restored within a limited time via Google’s Brand Account Manager.

Log into the Gmail associated with the channel, go to the link above, and look for "Deleted Accounts."

If your channel shows up there, you might be able to restore it with a few clicks. We’ve seen this work days, sometimes weeks after deletion, but the success rate drops dramatically the longer you wait.

Case 2: You deleted the Gmail account that was connected to the YouTube channel

If the Gmail account is gone, the YouTube channel tied to it disappears too. But there’s still a window to recover both.

Use Google Account Recovery. You’ll need to verify ownership of the email address. If successful, you get back the Google account and the connected YouTube channel.

If you can’t prove ownership through the recovery flow, Google locks it. And unfortunately, YouTube support won’t override that system. It’s brutal, but true.

So, if you’re reading this and still have access to your Gmail, never delete it. That account is the anchor to your YouTube channel.

Case 3: YouTube deleted your channel (policy violations, copyright, spam, or hacking)

In this situation, your best move is to contact YouTube Creator Support directly. If you're in the YouTube Partner Program, you can chat with support.

Otherwise, you can use this form to appeal.

When you appeal, be brief, respectful, and specific. The support team doesn’t need long stories. They need facts:

• Why do you believe the takedown was a mistake?
• What evidence do you have?
• If it was a hack, provide login history, location mismatches, or recovery emails.

If the termination was due to multiple Community Guideline strikes or copyright issues, you might still have a chance, especially if you can prove it was in error or taken out of context.

Common Traps that Make Recovery Impossible

1. Waiting too long: Some channels vanish forever after 30 days.
2. Not documenting ownership: If you didn’t verify your phone, email, or link recovery methods, Google might not believe you're the owner.
