Vania Mania Kids channel was doing great. Big numbers. High retention. Huge engagement. But great wasn’t enough.
They had the kind of content that could cross borders. So they partnered with AIR to turn what was already working into a global machine.
The Three Channels That Led the Way
In July 2022, we launched a test with Vania Mania Kids to see how far their content could go with multi-language support. We were dubbing the content fully – human voice actors, native tone, real emotional delivery. Kids don’t read subtitles. You either make the audio right for them, or they move on.
We launched three separate localized channels:
- Spanish: Vania Mania ESP
- German: Vania Mania DE
- Polish: Vania Mania PL
Within two years, these dubs brought in millions of new views. The Spanish and German channels in particular became major growth engines:
- Spanish Dubs: 1.48 million subscribers and over 13 million monthly views.
- German Dubs: 1.19 million subscribers and 19 million monthly views.
The Polish channel is smaller in comparison, but still pulled over 501K subscribers and almost 15 million views. That’s something.
Now here’s where it gets even more interesting.
We tried expanding the strategy to other languages – Portuguese, for instance. The dedicated channel didn’t hit. The viewership just didn’t respond. Normally, that’s where creators stop.
But instead, we used a different lever: audio tracks.
Instead of running a full separate channel for Portuguese, we added the Portuguese dubbing directly into the three high-performing channels (Spanish, German, and Polish) as multi-audio tracks. Same videos, same thumbnails, but now multilingual options directly in the YouTube player.
The result is almost 5 million additional views in just six months. From an audience that previously would have bounced.

Why It Worked: The Real Playbook
What worked here, and what we’ve seen work with creators like Kids Diana Show and Brave Wilderness, is smart localization. Not mass-translate-everything. Not AI voiceovers slapped on after upload. This was strategic.
We studied where Vania Mania Kids was already pulling partial traction – countries watching the English content, even if it wasn’t their native language. We looked at YouTube’s “Views by Country” metrics and matched it to “Audio Track Enabled” signals.
The key questions were:
- Where is the demand?
- What language communities are watching but not fully engaging?
- Where is retention dropping off early because of language mismatch?
Spanish, German, and Polish rose to the top. Portuguese showed interest.
We also didn’t just dub new videos.
You drop a dubbed premiere, viewers love it, but there’s nothing else for them in that language, they bounce. That’s how you lose momentum. So, we brought the back catalog with us. Each language launch came with enough dubbed content to keep a viewer engaged for hours.
That’s how you turn one dubbed video into a multi-view session. That’s how you get picked up by Suggested Videos. That’s how the algorithm knows to keep feeding the channel to those viewers.

The Results
Two years later, here’s what we saw:
