22 Steps to Grow from $500 to $10,000 on YouTube.pdf

What happens when you stop pirates from stealing your revenue and finally align your release strategy? For one music creator, it meant a 408% explosion in views and an 876% surge in revenue in just three months.

Read on to see how we cleared the technical roadblocks that were holding a world-class artist back from their true earning potential.

The Challenge: How Piracy Can Stunt Your Growth

Many factors can contribute to stunting one’s growth. By far, the most frustrating one is piracy. Imagine making music that the pirates later use, claim as their own, and then copyright strike you for your creation. This is an awful situation to find yourself in.

And that was the issue our partner brought to us. They had two music channels with beautiful and unique music. Their videos were unjustly flagged with ‘red icons’ (limited or no monetization), which means that the pirates were at work.

A lesser issue that was keeping their channel back from reaching its true potential was an unstructured release strategy, and many missed revenue opportunities.

Solving all of those issues by themselves would be overwhelming, especially for a solo artist. Therefore, we come with full troubleshooting and growth support packages!

How Did We Stop Pirates and What Else Led to 876% Growth?

So, how had these channels achieved such results? Well, there were several things involved:

1) Troubleshooting Monetization and Content ID Issues

Of course, we started with picking apart the biggest roadblock on their path to greatness. For both channels, that was monetization errors caused by pirates (namely, the incorrect claims). Therefore, we worked as a mediator between our partner and YouTube to:

  • Prepare and submit formal appeals
  • Contact YouTube Support to remove pirate fingerprints (which we do more easily as an officially recognized service working with YouTube)
  • Restore monetization on videos flagged with red icons
  • Ensure rights and ownership were correctly recognized

The monetization was restored across multiple videos! Hurray! That in itself immediately propelled both revenue and views. Beyond that, Content ID is a great protective instrument from these kinds of situations. And since we work closely with YouTube, we can help you set it up!

2) Music Distribution

This is one of the more difficult things to grasp and get right. But once you do, endless possibilities open before you. Music distribution is the digital ‘pipeline’ that moves your music from a personal file to global streaming. To many artists, this is just a matter of uploading a track

But there’s much more to it. We have supported our partner, presenting them with the best music distribution workflows. This included:

  • Recommendations on track release strategy
  • Alignment between YouTube uploads and the distributed catalog
  • Optimization of metadata and release timing to maximize discovery and monetization

3) Design & Animation

Of course, there was much to improve. The strength of the brand can lie in something very simple, yet very effective: the channel’s design. We’re talking about visuals like thumbnails, little icons, the emojis for your YouTube Memberships, and even the channel’s profile picture.

All of it is a reflection of the brand. Therefore, for our musical channel partner, we provided support on:

  • Visual identity for releases
  • Design and animation elements for music content
  • Consistent visual style across channels

You’d think this is tiny, and you’d be right, but the tiniest things improve recognizability and make the channel look more professional.

The Results

The results here speak for themselves. In about 3 months of our work with them, the views alone grew 19%, and their revenue grew +31.8%. Let’s look at their main channel’s performance more closely:

  • Views (Jul–Sep 2025): 15,481,761
  • Views (Oct–Dec 2025): 19,158,951
  • Absolute increase: +3,677,190 views

Now, the second channel has gained even more impressive results with +408.7% of views growth, and +876.3% growth in revenue. Let’s look at the stats a bit closer:

  • Views (Jul–Sep 2025): 5,415,228
  • Views (Oct–Dec 2025): 27,542,191
  • Absolute increase: +22,126,963 views

Creator-Centric Approach

While the artist already had strong music and a solid audience, we have helped with removing the technical blockers that prevented more of that creator’s audience and the content from meeting. Once the barriers were removed, the algorithm could fully pick up the music and spread it far and wide.

And both channels had exploded just like the quality of that content deserved!

If you struggle with the same (or similar) issues, you can always reach out to us! With more than 3,000 channels' worth of experience behind our shoulders, we can help solve all YouTube-related issues.

Takeaway for Music Artists

First, and a big one, if monetization of your music is broken, you don’t have Content ID, or your distribution is misaligned, you’re leaving a massive amount of money off the table. Fixing these fundamental issues can unlock growth without changing the content you make.

The case we had laid out is one of the thousands we have worked with. While different, the thing that unites them is the overwhelming feeling of ‘not knowing how to approach certain issues’. And this case highlights how having people who know what to do can help you move forward.

If you’re an artist struggling with monetization issues, pirate claims, or underperforming releases, don’t fight the system alone.

A structured approach can turn technical problems into major growth opportunities.
