Two kids channels. Same issues. Same fix.
PlayToys (8.03M subs) and Play Dolls (7.26M subs) weren’t showing up in YouTube Kids. Shorts weren’t there. Growth was flatlining.
Here’s how we turned that around.
Step 1: Get into YouTube Kids. Fast.
On May 20, we flagged the issue to YouTube's internal review team. A week later, YouTube responded:
“We've forwarded your channel to our YouTube Kids team for evaluation on safety, quality, and age-appropriateness…”
By June 18, the channel was searchable in YouTube Kids and appeared as a linked suggestion under other videos. That alone unlocked visibility.

Step 2: Shorts On. Views Up to 887K
Once access was sorted, we launched Shorts, and things moved fast.
Play Dolls:
→ Engaged Views: 503K
→ Total Views: 877K
→ Watch Time: 3.9K hours
→ Avg Duration: 0:27

PlayToys:
→ Engaged Views: 161K
→ Total Views: 301K
→ Watch Time: 1.4K hours
→ Avg Duration: 0:30

This came from zero Shorts activity before April 2025. Shorts were the needed booster.
Step 3: Adjusted Posting Schedule
The partner needed a posting flow that matched the internal workflow. We recommended a custom schedule built around their reality.
The Bigger Picture
We’ve done this hundreds of times across the kids' niche. Solved platform restrictions, optimized for Shorts, fixed discoverability issues, and rebuilt growth after traffic crashes.
If your kids channel is stuck, we’ll find the bottleneck. If YouTube Kids access is missing, we’ll help unlock it. If your Shorts aren’t converting, we’ll diagnose and relaunch.
